This article talks about:

  • Part 1: The Metaphorical dust in the house.
  • Part 2: Disconnect between our Modern Mind and Ancient Body.
  • Part 3: Some Ideas to Nourish ourselves.

Part 1: The Metaphorical Dust

Breathe and Relax

Isn’t it the fundamental birthright of everyone?

But it is so difficult to catch a moment of bliss.

Counter-intuitively, it isn’t our fault that we feel this way. It isn’t our fault that we are always wanting to chase something or other, just to expand ourselves and secure our borders (physical or mental). It isn’t our fault.

Let me prove to you how.

We live in the age of Information Overload. Sadly, most of the information we expose ourselves to is miscellaneous. Whatever information does not influence or nourish our growth implies miscellaneous data.

Unfortunately, we do invest a lot of our time and energy on them. And this looks like a Formula to an emotional breakdown. So although it is not our fault, we do pay the price for it.

Metaphorically, so there is plenty of incoming dust in our house but no cleaning of dust, which naturally leads to a dusty home.

Part 2: Disconnect between our Modern Mind and Ancient Body.

For fun, let’s remember The Stone Age Man.

We don’t look very different from them, do we? Just Kidding…But we do inherit our tendencies from our ancestors.

Except for the reality that our brain has evolved beyond measures. Our Body still has similar traits of Fight or Flight. Our human body was designed to survive and thrive in the natural environment. Believe it or not, our body works in the rhythm of nature. We were designed to live in union with the Universe.

Which essentially means, when we think we are doing this.

We are actually doing this.

Wistfully, research suggests that the rate of change in Technology over time has surpassed the human adaptability (refer image below). Hence, there has come a time when we face a disconnect between the natural rhythm of the body and the pace of the mind.

Similarly, the aspiration for a better and better quality of life (career promotions, relationships, etc) drives us to expend more energy (Body, Mind and Emotions). Which seams reasonably fair and natural drive.

But, does that mean we need to stress/train our body to become Machine Like?

  • Always performing.
  • Always Updating.
  • Always holding onto all pieces of information. If not in the main memory, then at least in the cache or back up?
  • No rest required.

OR the time has come to honour the most brilliant mechanism called Human Design?

  • This Phenomenal masterpiece embracing body, mind, soul and energy.
  • In Nature, everything happens effortlessly, why do we take so many efforts?

Part 3: Some Ideas to Nourish ourselves.

*** Cleaning ‘The Metaphorical Dust’?

  • How would it feel to allow space to cleanse all our thoughts?
  • How would it feel to have some time off with NO AGENDA?
  • How would it feel to have some time off with no drive, no chasing, no insecurity, no fear, no plans, no phones, no network, no man-made distractions?

*** Connecting our Modern Mind with Ancient Body

  • Planning
  • Setting happy boundaries
  • Letting go of the Rest.

Planning:

Planning helps to tell our brain that we are safe and secure. So it can turn the Fight or Flight mode off.

Consistency builds confidence in ourselves to achieving any goal in mind.

Setting happy boundaries:

  • Take Challenges that uplift you at the same time don’t exhaust you.

Let Go:

  • And Finally, let go of what can’t be achieved on a particular day. Not all days are the same. Let go of what is stretching beyond your natural rhythm.

Give permission to yourself for taking a break. Absolute Break for No reason, every once in a while.

Hope, the above blog was enjoyable for you!!!
